Kevin Williams Receives 2025 Kim Evans Award

East Carolina University Director of Golf and Head Coach Kevin Williams has been named the 2025 Kim Evans Award recipient, as announced by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association in partnership with the PGA of America.

The award recognizes a college coach and Class A PGA Professional whose teaching, coaching, and engagement in the community have advanced the game and upheld its standards. It honors the legacy of Auburn coach Kim Evans, a WGCA Hall of Fame member.

Williams has more than twenty seven years of collegiate coaching experience and has led both the men’s and women’s programs at ECU. He returned to his alma mater in 2021 to guide the men’s team and was promoted to Director of Golf in 2023. He now serves as the full time head coach for both programs.

Williams previously led the ECU women’s team for seventeen seasons and founded the program in 2000. Under his direction, the women’s program became a consistent NCAA postseason qualifier with twelve at large bids and twenty nine team titles. His career also includes multiple leadership roles within collegiate golf.
