Incoming Mississippi State freshman Yago Horno won the 2025 Balearic Men’s Cup at Pula Golf Resort with a final round 70 to finish at nine under 279, eight shots clear of the field. Horno opened with 68, moved into the lead after 70 in round two, held position with 71 in round three, and closed with an eagle on the twelfth to secure the title.
Mateo Hidalgo finished second at one under 287. Eladio Dano Perez and Samuel Love tied for third at even par 288. Love and Marc Bisellach shared the low round of the day with 67, and Love also won the Under 16 division.
Horno joins Mississippi State as the number thirty one player in the 2026 class according to Golf Channel and has reached 319 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. His junior results include titles at the Spanish Boys Under 18 Championship, the International Spanish Match Play Championship, the International Spanish Under 18 Championship, and the English Boys Under 16 Championship. He also finished runner up at this year’s Boys Amateur Championship and is ranked third in the Europe eighteen and under rankings.
