The Patriot All America Invitational will take place December 29 to 31 at The Wigwam Gold Course in Litchfield Park, Arizona. The championship brings together one hundred fifty-six of the nation’s top collegiate and amateur players and remains one of the most distinctive events in amateur golf for its competitive field and its commitment to honoring military service members.
The tournament is organized by the Golf Coaches Association of America, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association, the West Valley Mavericks, The Wigwam Golf Resort, and the Patriot All America LLC, with all proceeds supporting the Folds of Honor Foundation.
A Championship that Honors Military Heroes
The Patriot All-America is a 54-hole stroke-play event, but each player also carries a commemorative PING golf bag honoring a fallen or wounded service member. Golfers receive their bags during the opening ceremony and use them throughout the week. After the final round, the bags are returned to participating schools for auction, with proceeds benefiting Folds of Honor.
Players also visit Luke Air Force Base for a guided experience led by the base commander, pilots and crew. The tour includes access to training facilities used by F-16 and F-35 fighter pilots and offers a perspective on the service members honored throughout the event.
Field Composition and Event Growth
The Patriot All America debuted in 2011 with eighty-four men and has expanded to eighty-four men and seventy-two women at The Wigwam, along with seventy-five men competing in the Thunderbolt Division at Sterling Grove. The field includes PING All Americans across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, the NAIA, NJCAA, AJGA, and international programs.
The Thunderbolt Division serves as an extension for players who meet eligibility criteria but did not secure an initial Patriot spot. Withdrawals in the main field are filled from the Thunderbolt.
Venue
The Wigwam Gold Course hosts both championship fields and provides a national-level layout suited for elite amateur competition.
