CGN International Spotlight: Texas Tech’s Adam Bresnu in Contention at the PIF Saudi International

Texas Tech junior Adam Bresnu has delivered another standout performance on the world stage, becoming one of the leading amateurs at the 2025 PIF Saudi International. The Moroccan standout repeated last year’s achievement by making the cut in a global elite field, but this time elevated himself into early contention heading into the weekend.

Bresnu opened at Riyadh Golf Club with a spotless 66 in round one and followed with another bogey-free 67 in round two to reach a tie for ninth. His performance placed him inside the top ten of the Asian Tour’s International Series finale, surrounded by established professionals including Tyrrell Hatton, Thomas Pieters, Adrian Meronk, and Paul Casey.

Now twenty-one years old and continuing his collegiate career at Texas Tech, Bresnu has become a rising figure in Arab golf. He once again leads the amateur contingent in Saudi Arabia, with fellow Moroccan Reda El Hali also advancing to the weekend.

The PIF Saudi International features a five-million-dollar purse and serves as the third from last event on the Asian Tour schedule. With Bresnu firmly inside the top tier of the leaderboard through thirty-six holes, he enters the final rounds positioned for one of the most significant finishes of his young career.
