Huntingdon has moved into the No. 1 position in the latest Bushnell Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll after opening the 2026 to 2027 season with consecutive tournament victories.
The Hawks received 11 first place votes and 394 points in the September 25 rankings, moving ahead of Kenyon, Emory and previous No. 1 Claremont Mudd Scripps.

Huntingdon Moves to No. 1
Huntingdon climbed from No. 2 after winning each of its first two tournaments of the season.
The Hawks captured the Gate City Invite by four strokes on September 15 before winning the NCAA Division III Fall Preview at Kingsmill Resort by two strokes on September 22.
Huntingdon has now held the No. 1 ranking in six of the past seven Bushnell Golfweek Division III Coaches Polls dating back to October 31, 2025.
Kenyon and Emory Climb into Top Three
Kenyon made one of the largest moves near the top of the rankings, climbing seven positions from No. 9 to No. 2 with 361 points.
Emory also moved up three spots from No. 6 to No. 3 with 353 points.
Previous No. 1 Claremont Mudd Scripps received five first place votes and moved to fourth, while Illinois Wesleyan completes the Top 5.
Carnegie Mellon, Sewanee, Methodist, Aurora and Oglethorpe round out the Top 10.

John Carroll and Shenandoah Enter Rankings
Two programs joined the Top 25 after sitting outside the preseason rankings.
John Carroll moved into a tie for No. 21 with 57 points after receiving votes in the preseason poll.
Shenandoah entered at No. 24 with 51 points after being unranked in the September 4 poll.
Pomona Pitzer also made a significant move within the rankings, climbing from No. 25 to No. 19.
Gustavus Adolphus and Whitman dropped out of the Top 25 and are now receiving votes.
The next Bushnell Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll is scheduled to be released on October 16.
