Eleven Amateurs Earn U.S. Open Spots Through Final Qualifying

The final stage of qualifying for the 2026 U.S. Open concluded on Golf’s Longest Day, with 11 amateurs securing places in the championship field at Shinnecock Hills. Final Qualifying was contested across 13 sites in the United States, Canada, England, and Japan.

Among the amateur standouts, Jackson Ormond earned co medalist honors at Gaston Country Club in North Carolina after finishing at 12 under par, while Giuseppe Puebla shared medalist honors at BallenIsles Country Club in Florida at 7 under par.

The U.S. Open qualifying process began with Local Qualifying and concluded with the 36 hole Final Qualifying stage, one of the most demanding tests in amateur and professional golf. The successful qualifiers will now join the field at Shinnecock Hills for the 2026 U.S. Open.
