The 111th Southwestern Amateur Championship will be contested June 10 through June 13 at Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. The field includes 72 men and 72 women competing in 72 holes of stroke play, with a cut to the low 36 players and ties after 36 holes.
Players from 26 states and 18 countries are scheduled to compete, including 23 men and 28 women who have won a WAGR ranked event during the past year.
Defending men’s champion Hartej Grewal returns alongside past Southwestern contenders Edan Cui, Luke Cushman, Alex Huang, and Parker Edens. The women’s field includes 2025 runner up Kaili Xiao, Natalie Yen, Amelie Zalsman, Lyla Louderbaugh, Scarlett Schremmer, Eliana Saga, and Mia Clausen.
The championship also features several players with USGA experience, including U.S. Women’s Four Ball champions Natalie Yen and Sarah Lim. Recent U.S. Women’s Open competitors Sofia Rivera, Jude Lee, Nicha Kanpai, Sarah Lim, Amelie Zalsman, Kaili Xiao, Sophie Linder, and Kylee Choi are also in the field.
The tournament returns to Desert Mountain’s Outlaw Course for the fourth time. The Southwestern Amateur, which began in 1915, has produced numerous future PGA TOUR players and has been hosted at Desert Mountain annually since 2013.
