Virginia and Pepperdine finished tied for the team title at the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional after both programs closed at 36 under at Bermuda Run Country Club in Bermuda Run, North Carolina. Virginia posted rounds of 13 under, 14 under, and 9 under, while Pepperdine surged into a share of the lead with a final round 15 under performance.
Ole Miss secured third at 31 under, followed by Southern California at 27 under and Mississippi State at 26 under. The top five teams advanced to the NCAA Men’s Championship at Omni La Costa later this month.
Houston narrowly missed advancing after finishing sixth at 18 under. NC State placed seventh at 17 under, while Wake Forest ended the week eighth at 12 under.
Virginia golfer Ben James claimed individual medalist honors after finishing at 19 under across three rounds. Ole Miss golfer Cameron Tankersley finished second at 16 under, while Mississippi State golfer Garrett Endicott placed third at 14 under.
Pepperdine golfer Mahanth Chirravuri finished fourth at 13 under. Kentucky’s Jacob Lang, Ole Miss golfer Tom Fischer, and Virginia golfer Paul Chang shared fifth at 9 under.
