Rice and Georgia are tied for fifth at 5 under, followed by Charleston at 1 under. Illinois and Harvard are tied for eighth at even par, while Northwestern rounds out the top 10 at 2 over.
Auburn’s Josiah Gilbert leads the individual standings after an opening round 6 under performance. Louisville’s Warren Thomis and Northwestern golfer Ethan Tseng are tied for second at 5 under.
Vanderbilt teammates Will Hartman and Jon Ed Steed are tied for fourth alongside Southern Miss golfer Jake Moffitt and Louisiana individual Malan Potgieter at 4 under.
Georgia’s Matt Moloney, Louisville’s Cooper Claycomb, and BYU’s Kihei Akina are tied for eighth at 3 under entering the second round.
