Claremont Mudd Scripps Wins NCAA Division III Men’s National Championship in Playoff, Sebi Aliaga Earns Individual Title

Claremont Mudd Scripps captured the 2026 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf National Championship on Friday at Mission Inn Resort, defeating Illinois Wesleyan in a playoff after both teams finished regulation at 13 under.

Claremont Mudd Scripps closed with a tournament best 15 under final round after opening rounds of 284, 292 and 290. Illinois Wesleyan carded the low second round of the championship with a 9 under 279 and followed it with an 8 under final round to force the playoff.

Aurora finished third at 5 under, while Sewanee placed fourth at 4 over after an 8 under final round. Methodist rounded out the top five at 6 over.

Kenyon and Washington and Lee tied for sixth at 7 over, followed by Carnegie Mellon at 8 over. Emory finished ninth at 14 over, while Huntingdon completed the top 10 at 16 over.

Claremont Mudd Scripps freshman Sebi Aliaga claimed the individual national title at 10 under after back to back rounds of 67 to close the championship.

Washington and Lee’s Jonathan McEwen finished runner up at 9 under, while teammate Tim Kaufman and Kenyon’s Adrian Jordan tied for third at 7 under.

Southern Virginia individual Nikko Taggart and Lynchburg individual Alan Van Asch shared fifth at 6 under. Illinois Wesleyan’s Pablo Castro, Drew’s Elliot Parker, Oglethorpe’s Ryan Dunn and Aurora’s Caleb Negley tied for seventh at 4 under.
