UNCW captured the CAA Men’s Golf Championship at Dataw Island Club in South Carolina, finishing at 38 under to secure the team title. The Seahawks separated themselves with a final round 20 under, closing out a dominant performance across all three rounds.
Elon finished second at 21 under, followed by Charleston at 17 under. Campbell placed fourth at 10 under, while Towson rounded out the top five at 3 under. William and Mary finished sixth at 5 over, with North Carolina A&T seventh at 9 over and Drexel eighth at 15 over. Hofstra and Monmouth completed the field.
In the individual standings, UNCW’s James Rico earned medalist honors at 14 under with rounds of 6 under, 2 under, and 6 under. William and Mary’s Talon Dingledine finished second at 9 under, while UNCW’s John Logan placed third at 7 under.
Five players tied for fourth at 6 under, including Towson’s Ariihau Faana, North Carolina A&T’s Ignacio Zapata, UNCW’s Gray Mitchum, Elon’s Dylan Lewis, and Charleston’s Loran Appel. Charleston’s Nevill Ruiter finished ninth at 5 under, and Campbell’s William Sundborn tied for tenth at 4 under.
