Connecticut Wins Golfweek Stifel Men’s Spring Challenge, UAB’s Fierro Claims Individual Title

The Golfweek Stifel Men’s Spring Challenge is complete at True Blue Golf Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, with Connecticut securing the team title and UAB’s Alejandro Fierro earning medalist honors. Connecticut will earn a spot in the 2027 Augusta Haskins Award Invitational.

Connecticut finished at 15 under after rounds of 293, 275, and 281. UAB placed second at 13 under, followed by George Washington at 8 under. Jacksonville State and Georgia State tied for fourth at even par. William and Mary finished sixth at 1 over, with Fairleigh Dickinson in seventh at 10 over. Charleston Southern placed eighth at 13 over, Evansville finished ninth at 17 over, and Marshall rounded out the top 10 at 18 over.

In the individual standings, Alejandro Fierro of UAB finished at 9 under after rounds of 71, 68, and 68 to secure the individual title.

Connecticut’s Kai Jun Huang finished second at 8 under, while George Washington’s Manuel Barbachano placed third at 7 under. Connecticut’s Bradley Sawka finished fourth at 6 under.

Georgia State’s Matt Calhoun and UAB’s Erik Olin tied for fifth at 5 under. William and Mary’s Talon Dingledine finished seventh at 4 under.

Coastal Carolina’s Owen Kim and Sacred Heart’s Pablo Lacayo tied for eighth at 3 under. Connecticut’s Connor Goode rounded out the top 10 at 2 under.
