Eastern Michigan captured a one shot team victory at the Silicon Valley Showcase, finishing at 8 over 860 at Green Hills Country Club in Millbrae, California. The Eagles held off California, who finished at 9 over 861, with the two programs separating themselves from the field as the only teams to finish within single digits over par.
Kansas State placed third at 26 over, while UC Davis and UC Irvine rounded out the top five.
Eastern Michigan’s win was anchored by junior Baiyok Sukterm, who earned her first collegiate title at 3 under 210 with rounds of 68, 68, and 74. Sukterm was one of only two players in the field to finish under par.
California’s Adora Liu finished runner up at 2 under 211, while Santa Clara’s Kelsey Kim secured third at 1 over 214.
The Eagles placed four players inside the top 20, reinforcing their depth throughout the lineup. Janae Leovao finished tied for fourth at 2 over 215, while Jasmine Leovao tied for 13th at 6 over 219. Savannah de Bock added a tied for 16th finish at 8 over 221.
The victory marks Eastern Michigan’s third team and individual sweep of the season, continuing a consistent run that has defined their year.
