Auburn’s Jackson Koivun Earns February Ben Hogan Award Golfer of the Month After Two Wins

Auburn junior Jackson Koivun has been named the Ben Hogan Award Golfer of the Month for February, earning the honor for the second time this award season after also being recognized in July.

Koivun, the 2024 Ben Hogan Award winner and a 2025 finalist, posted two victories during the month and led all players with 45.4 points in the World Amateur Golf Rankings for February.

He opened the month with a five shot win at the Amer Ari Invitational, finishing at 25 under 191 with rounds of 62, 62, and 67. The performance set a new Auburn 54 hole scoring record and included a 36 hole total that surpassed the previous NCAA record held by Tiger Woods by two shots.

Koivun followed with another win at the Gators Invitational, finishing at 9 under 209 to secure his seventh career collegiate victory, setting a new program record. Across six rounds in February, he posted a 66.67 scoring average.

The monthly award is determined by a selection committee along with a social media fan vote. Koivun was selected over finalists Frankie Harris of South Carolina and Nathan Miller of TCU.

The Ben Hogan Award is presented annually to the top collegiate golfer based on performance across college, amateur, and professional events over a 12 month period. The current award cycle runs from the 2025 NCAA Championships through the 2026 NCAA Regionals.
