The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate concluded Wednesday at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, with Texas securing the team title while the Longhorns’ Farah O’Keefe captured the individual championship.
Texas finished the tournament at two over par after rounds of five under, four over, and three over to hold off Florida State by two shots. Florida State placed second at four over following rounds of three over, one under, and two over. Arkansas finished third at ten over after recording the lowest round of the week among the top teams with a four under second round.
Duke placed fourth at eleven over after closing with an eight under final round, the lowest team score of the day. Auburn finished fifth at fourteen over. Wake Forest and LSU shared sixth place at nineteen over. Ohio State finished eighth at twenty over, Northwestern placed ninth at twenty six over, and Vanderbilt rounded out the top ten at twenty seven over.
Individually, Texas’s Farah O’Keefe earned the title at seven under par. O’Keefe opened the tournament with a seven under round and closed with rounds of one under and one over to secure the victory.
Florida State’s Elin Pudas Remler finished second at six under after posting rounds of two under, five under, and one over. Duke’s Rianne Malixi placed third at four under after a final round eight under moved her up the leaderboard.
LSU’s Ryleigh Knaub finished fourth at three under following three consecutive rounds under par. Arkansas’s Maria Jose Marin and Georgia’s Karoline Tuttle shared fifth place at two under. Texas’s Lauren Kim finished seventh at one under.
Florida State’s Sophia Fullbrook finished eighth at even par. Arizona’s Charlotte Back and Wake Forest’s Macy Pate tied for ninth at one over.
Texas placed two players inside the top ten as O’Keefe and Kim helped lead the Longhorns to the team victory at Long Cove Club.
