Career Snapshot
Anna Swan
Class: Sophomore
Hometown: North East, Pennsylvania
High School: Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School
A business administration major at ORU, Swan entered college with a clear sense of direction. She set her goal of playing collegiate golf by middle school and built her development around that long term vision. Growing up in a family of five siblings, with two older siblings who also played collegiate golf, competition and accountability were constants in her environment. Her sister Lydia, now a senior at ORU, remains a key influence in her journey.
Swan chose Oral Roberts for its smaller campus environment, close knit team culture, and Christian foundation integrated into academics and athletics. The program’s values aligned with both her competitive ambitions and personal priorities.
2024 to 2025 Freshman Season
Swan immediately established herself as a consistent contributor as a freshman.
Highlights included:

T9 at the West Texas Classic at eight over par, helping ORU finish second
T6 at the Red Rocks Invitational after shooting one under 71 in a weather shortened event
T8 at the Summit League Championship at five over par
Her freshman season demonstrated scoring stability and the ability to handle championship level competition.
2025 to 2026 Sophomore Season
Swan entered her sophomore year with higher internal expectations and a sharper understanding of the collegiate game. The transition from freshman to sophomore was marked by focused summer preparation and targeted improvement.
Fall season results:

Swan led the team in four of five fall events, reinforcing her role as a dependable scorer.
She was named Summit League Preseason Player to Watch entering the spring portion of the season.
Spring highlights include qualifying for the 2026 United States Women’s Amateur Four Ball alongside teammate Jayla Kucy. The duo shot five under par, including a 67 at Firekeeper Country Club in Topeka, Kansas, to earn their place in the championship field.
Swan also captured her hometown EDWGA Stroke Play Championship for the third consecutive year, winning by 13 strokes. Competing on a course she knew well, she capitalized on preparation and familiarity to deliver a dominant performance.
Mental Approach and Competitive Edge
Swan’s development at the collegiate level has sharpened her mental approach. She emphasizes forward thinking after mistakes, relying on repetition and preparation to trust her execution under pressure. Rather than reacting emotionally to adversity, she focuses on the next shot and the process required to recover.
That mindset has helped her transition from a promising freshman to a team leader as a sophomore.
Outlook
With conference play and postseason competition approaching, Swan remains focused on incremental improvement each round. Her consistency in the lineup, championship experience as a freshman, and growing leadership role position her as a key contributor for Oral Roberts.
Whether her future ultimately leads to professional golf or a career in business, Swan’s disciplined preparation and competitive drive continue to define her trajectory within the Golden Eagles program.
