No. 25 Wake Forest continued its strong 2025 to 26 campaign with a team victory at the Palmas del Mar Collegiate, winning the 54 hole event at Palmas Del Mar Country Club in Humacao, Puerto Rico.
The Demon Deacons finished 26 under par 838 with rounds of 282, 281, and 275, closing with a tournament best 13 under final round to separate from the field. The win marked Wake Forest’s third team title of the season and the 49th team victory under head coach Jerry Haas.
Haberer Earns First Collegiate Win
Wake Forest junior Tom Haberer delivered the top individual performance of the week, earning his first collegiate title at 13 under par 203. Haberer posted three straight rounds in the 60s with scores of 68, 67, and 68, winning the tournament by two shots.
Nicholas Prieto finished runner up at 11 under par after rounds of 72, 67, and 66, including a closing 66 that helped power Wake Forest’s final round surge.
Wake Forest placed five players inside the top 25 and led the tournament with 66 total birdies over three rounds.

Wake Forest Adds Another Trophy to Strong Season Start
Wake Forest’s win in Puerto Rico adds to a growing list of accomplishments this season. The Demon Deacons previously captured titles at the Bryan National Collegiate and the Highlands Invitational, making Palmas del Mar their third victory of the year.
The Palmas del Mar Collegiate is hosted by UNC Greensboro and features a five count four team format alongside individual competition.
