National Umbrella Day, observed each year on February 10, has become a charitable initiative led by the Arnold and Winnie Palmer Foundation to recognize Arnold Palmer’s lasting influence both in golf and beyond the sport.

The day centers around the well known Palmer umbrella logo, using it as a symbol of support, unity, and giving. Through the campaign, the foundation encourages fans to celebrate Palmer’s legacy while helping raise awareness and funding for youth focused charitable causes.

National Umbrella Day is also supported through a social media push using the hashtag #PalmerUmbrella, allowing golfers, fans, and organizations to share their participation and promote the mission behind the initiative.

The umbrella has long been associated with Palmer’s personal brand. According to foundation history, Palmer adopted the multi colored umbrella logo after seeing a woman carrying a similar umbrella, later turning it into one of the most recognizable symbols in golf.
