Meet the Field: Programs Set to Compete at the Space Coast Classic Presented by MoonGolf

The Space Coast Classic Presented by MoonGolf returns February 21–22, 2026, at Duran Golf Club in Melbourne, Florida. The championship features a primarily Division I field with one Division III program represented and will culminate with live final round coverage on Championship Golf Network. CGN will provide full digital coverage throughout the event, including team spotlights, live updates, and a livestream of the final round.

Columbia

Conference: Ivy League
Division: I
Clippd Ranking: 94

Columbia enters the Space Coast Classic with a roster that has produced recent individual success. Sarah Shao was named New Jersey Women’s Junior of the Year, while Kristina Xu earned co medalist honors at the Princeton Invitational. Under head coach Amy Weeks, the Lions bring a lineup capable of competing across multiple scoring positions.

Duquesne

Clippd Ranking: 237

Duquesne arrives following a productive fall highlighted by multiple strong team finishes. Sasha Petrochko earned Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week honors for the second time in her career, continuing a run that includes seven conference weekly awards since moving to Division I competition. The Dukes placed seventh at the Lehigh Invitational and fifth at a Westmont event, showing steady depth under head coach Colleen Myers.

Dartmouth

Dartmouth brings momentum from multiple fall events. The Big Green finished second at the Red Bandana Invitational, led by first year Sophia Li, who claimed individual medalist honors in her collegiate debut. Dartmouth also recorded a sixth place team finish at the Princeton Invitational with three players inside the top 20 under head coach Alex Kirk.

Penn

Penn continues to build consistency under head coach Mark Anderson. The Quakers finished fifth in a 13 team field at the Princeton Invitational and recently earned an invitation to compete in the 2026 St Andrews Links Collegiate in Scotland. Penn enters the Space Coast Classic with tournament tested experience and balanced scoring.

St John’s

St John’s is led by a lineup that produced a runner up team finish at the UAlbany Great Danes Invitational. Kelly Wu captured individual medalist honors in that event, anchoring the Red Storm scoring effort under head coach Ambry Bishop Santillo.

UAlbany

UAlbany brings recent team success into the championship after winning the Le Moyne College Invitational. Lucia Esteban led the Great Danes with a tie for first place while competing as an individual. Head coach Colleen Cashman’s group has shown the ability to close tournaments against full fields.

Holy Cross

Holy Cross enters with consistent results from the fall schedule. The Crusaders placed seventh at the Lady Dolphin Invitational and sixth at the Navy Fall Invitational, with multiple players finishing inside the top 25 individually. Head coach Steve Napoli’s squad brings experience and lineup stability to the field.

Quinnipiac

Quinnipiac arrives as the defending champion of the Quinnipiac Classic, winning the event against an 11 team field. Sophomore Marisa Flores led the Bobcats with a third place finish, while Sophia Fujita placed fifth and later earned MAAC Women’s Golfer of the Month honors. Head coach John O’Connor’s group has already proven it can convert opportunities into team wins.

Seton Hall

Seton Hall brings steady scoring from sophomore Marta Aguilar, who led the Pirates at both the UAlbany Great Danes Invitational and the Princeton Invitational. Head coach Jackie Mullens’ team has demonstrated competitive round to round consistency against Division I fields.

Lipscomb

Lipscomb enters following a runner up team finish at The Robbie. Ava Bankston was named Atlantic Sun Women’s Golfer of the Week, highlighting a strong fall for the Bisons under head coach Shannon O’Brien.

Notre Dame

Notre Dame arrives as one of the top ranked teams in the field. The Irish captured the Fighting Irish Classic team title by a 24 stroke margin and featured junior Alex Lapple as individual champion. The program also recorded a seventh place finish at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational with multiple top 20 individual performances under head coach Breanna Jenco.

Emory

Division: III
Clippd Ranking: 1 Division III

Emory enters as the top ranked Division III program nationally. The Eagles have won three consecutive tournaments, including a 21 stroke victory at the UC Santa Cruz Invitational. Freshman Xinyi Zheng earned her first collegiate win in a playoff, continuing a dominant stretch under head coach Liz Fernandes.

Sacred Heart

Clippd Ranking: 205

Sacred Heart comes off a team victory at the SHU Fall Classic in a 15 team field. Maite Cantu led the Pioneers with a second place individual finish after posting three consistent rounds in the 70s. Head coach Matthew McGreevy’s squad has shown the ability to manage multi round scoring.
