Southern Miss freshman Jake Moffitt has been named the Ben Hogan Award November and December Golfer of the Month following a strong finish to the 2025 calendar year.

Moffitt secured the honor after winning The International Amateur in December by seven shots, the largest margin in the event’s history. He finished at seventeen under par with rounds of 68, 69, 65, and 66 at Innisbrook. He also placed second at the St Augustine Amateur, finishing one shot back at six under par.

Across seven rounds during the November and December evaluation period, Moffitt recorded a 67.86 scoring average and earned 21.3 World Amateur Golf Ranking points. He also led the social media fan vote on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, earning a bonus vote from the selection committee.

The other finalists for the monthly award were Arizona State’s Connor Williams and Georgia’s Grayson Wood. The Ben Hogan Award is presented annually in May and evaluates collegiate golfers based on performance across college, amateur, and professional competition over a twelve month period.
