Pepperdine senior Jeneath Wong enters the final stretch of her collegiate career having already achieved a defining milestone in amateur golf. The Kuala Lumpur native became the first Malaysian champion in Women’s Amateur Asia Pacific history with her victory at Hoiana Shores in Vietnam in 2025, a result that placed her among the elite amateurs worldwide.
That win earned Wong exemptions into multiple major championships and top amateur events and set up an opportunity to defend her title at Royal Wellington Golf Club in New Zealand. She entered 2026 ranked inside the top 100 of the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
At Pepperdine, Wong has compiled one of the program’s strongest careers. She is a two time WGCA All American and three time All West Coast Conference first team selection, with a 72.56 career scoring average across 85 rounds. Her record includes 12 top ten finishes, 19 top twenty results, and 29 rounds under par.
During the 2024–25 season, Wong posted a 72.55 scoring average and earned All WCC and WCC All Academic honors, highlighted by multiple top ten finishes and a third place result at the WCC Championships.
Wong’s resume also includes victories at the Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs and Australian Girls Amateur, along with appearances in events such as the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. Her WAAP title stands as a landmark achievement for both Pepperdine and Malaysian golf.
