100th South Atlantic Women’s Amateur Set for Oceanside Country Club

The 100th South Atlantic Women’s Amateur Championship will be contested January 7 through January 10 at Oceanside Country Club in Ormond Beach, Florida. Known as the Sally, the championship is the longest running women’s amateur golf tournament in the world and has been held annually since 1926.

Oceanside Country Club has served as the long time home of the Sally and will once again host a global field of elite amateurs and collegiate players. The championship is traditionally held in January and opens the amateur calendar with four days of stroke play competition along Florida’s Atlantic coast.

This year’s field includes elite amateurs and players from top ranked college programs such as Wake Forest, Kent State, Florida, Arizona, and Alabama. International representation is expected from several countries including Guatemala, Italy, Taiwan, Mexico, England, and Spain.

The South Atlantic Women’s Amateur has a long history of identifying future professional success. Past competitors include current LPGA stars Lexi Thompson, Brooke Henderson, Jessica Korda, Nelly Korda, and Ariya Jutanugarn.

In addition to the championship tournament, Oceanside Country Club also hosts the Johannsen Senior tournament during the same week, continuing a tradition that has become a staple of the event’s history.

Live scoring and full field information are available through the official leaderboard.
