Claggett and DeKock Share Women’s Lead, Connor Williams Sets Early Pace at Patriot All America Invitational

Round one of the Patriot All America Invitational concluded Monday at The Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield Park, Arizona, with the men competing on the Gold Course and the women on the Blue Course. Strong scoring across both venues set up tightly packed leaderboards heading into the second round.

Wigwam Blue Course

Vanderbilt’s Tillie Claggett and Kansas’ Amy DeKock share the lead after opening with matching rounds of five under par sixty five. Both players took advantage of early scoring opportunities to set the pace in the women’s field.

Arizona’s Julia Misemer sits in third at two under par sixty eight after a steady opening round.

Five players are tied for fourth at one under par sixty nine, including Lauren Kim of Texas, Judy Joo of St Andrews, Audrey Rischer of Oklahoma, Thanana Kotchasanmanee of Princeton, and Kylie Chong of USC.

Vanderbilt added two more names inside the top ten, with Lynn Lim and Kathryn Ha opening at even par seventy.

Men’s Round One Recap

Wigwam Gold Course

Arizona State’s Connor Williams delivered the low round of the day, firing a six under par sixty four to take the solo lead after the opening round.

Parker Bell of Florida and Simon Kwon of BYU are tied for second at three under par sixty seven, keeping the pressure on the leader heading into round two.

A group of six players share fourth at two under par sixty eight, including Ryan Voois of Illinois, Supapon Amornchaichan of Purdue, Alejandro De Castro Piera of Long Beach State, Wheaton Ennis of Texas A and M, Ryan Abuan of UNLV, and Peter Kim of BYU.

Arizona’s Dillon Dean rounds out the top ten at one under par.
