Ayden Fynaut Leads After Round One at Jones Cup Junior Invitational

Ayden Fynaut set the early pace at the Jones Cup Junior Invitational, opening with a four under 66 on the Seaside Course at Sea Island in St. Simons Island, Georgia. The Pepperdine commit holds a one shot lead after the first round in a tightly packed leaderboard.

Coltrane Mittag sits second after a three under 67. The Oklahoma commit stayed steady throughout the day and remains within striking distance heading into round two.

Preston Hage and Henry Talarico are tied for third at two under after matching rounds of 68. Hage, a North Carolina commit, and Talarico both positioned themselves near the top with consistent play across the Seaside Course.

Three players share fifth at one under. Colt Farrow of Colorado, Andrew Sciortino, a Lipscomb commit, and Sterling Hurd, a Texas commit, each carded 69 to stay close to the lead.

Sage Bradshaw, Kailer Stone, and Cody Guetzke round out the top ten at even par with rounds of 70.

The field completed the opening round on the Seaside Course, where scoring conditions allowed for early movement near the top of the board.
