​​USGA Names 2026 U.S. National Junior Team

The United States Golf Association announced the 2026 U.S. National Junior Team on Tuesday, unveiling the largest roster in the program’s history as part of the U.S. National Development Program.

The 2026 team features 24 players, 12 boys and 12 girls, representing 10 states. Fourteen athletes return from the 2025 roster, while 10 newcomers join the group, including five players who advanced through the USNDP State Junior Team pathway.

Team members receive year round support that includes coaching, performance analysis, sports psychology, and nutrition guidance. In 2025, National Junior Team athletes combined for 34 appearances in USGA championships and recorded a collective improvement of 2,933 positions in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.

Talley, Howell, and Coleman Highlight Roster

Asterisk Talley returns for a third consecutive season following a standout year that included a victory at the Girls Junior PGA Championship, co medalist honors at the U.S. Women’s Amateur, a runner up finish at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, and an appearance in the U.S. Women’s Open. She is currently ranked No. 11 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.

Georgia commits Hamilton Coleman and Mason Howell will make their National Junior Team debuts. Coleman captured the 2025 U.S. Junior Amateur at Trinity Forest, while Howell won the 2025 U.S. Amateur at The Olympic Club, becoming the third youngest champion in event history and earning a spot on the USA Walker Cup Team.

Grant Support

Four players on the 2026 roster are USNDP Grant recipients. In 2025, the USGA distributed more than $865,000 in grants to assist junior golfers with expenses related to tournament travel, coaching, and equipment. The next class of grant recipients will be announced in early 2026.

Launched in 2023, the U.S. National Development Program provides a structured pathway for elite American juniors through competition, education, and financial support as they progress toward collegiate and elite amateur golf.
