Isabella Johnson Named 2025 Tennessee Women’s Player of the Year

Middle Tennessee golfer Isabella Johnson has been named the 2025 Tennessee Women’s Player of the Year by the Tennessee Golf Association. The Murfreesboro native earns the honor after a season highlighted by her victory at the Tennessee Women’s Amateur and a steady run of results across state events. It marks her second consecutive TGA award following her recognition as the 2024 Tennessee Girls Junior Player of the Year.

Johnson captured the 93rd Tennessee Women’s Amateur at Chattanooga Golf and Country Club with an even par 213. She closed with a final round 70 and secured the title by two shots, earning a place in the upcoming U S Women’s Amateur at Bandon Dunes.

A graduate of Providence Christian Academy, Johnson built a strong junior record before entering college golf. She qualified for the 2023 U S Women’s Amateur and the U S Girls Junior Amateur, won the 2021 and 2023 SNEDS Tour Tournament of Champions, and earned SNEDS Tour Player of the Year honors in both seasons. At Providence Christian Academy she was part of three TSSAA Division II A team championship wins and claimed the 2024 individual state title. She also earned multiple All State selections and competed on the Tennessee Junior Cup team in 2023 and 2024.

Johnson transferred to Middle Tennessee this summer and continues to compete close to home as she adds another major state title to her record.
