Texas Tech alumnus Shannon Tan closed out her 2025 season with two major honors on the Ladies European Tour, earning the Players’ Player of the Year award and securing the Order of Merit title. She became the first player from Singapore to finish atop the season-long standings.

Tan locked up the Order of Merit with a T16 finish at the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España, ending the year with 2,461.74 points across 22 events and finishing 183.01 points ahead of England’s Mimi Rhodes. Her season included victories at the Amundi German Masters and the Hero Women’s Indian Open, along with six additional top ten finishes and five more inside the top twenty.

LET members also voted Tan the Players’ Player of the Year, a peer-selected honor that reflected her consistent scoring and influence throughout the season.

Tan earned LET status through Lalla Aicha Q-School in December 2023, won the first event of the 2024 season in her professional debut, and represented Singapore at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. She has four major championship starts, including a T40 finish at the 2025 AIG Women’s British Open. Before turning professional in January 2024, she competed for Texas Tech and won the Singapore Ladies Masters on the China LPGA as an amateur.

Tan will now return to the final stage of LPGA Qualifying as she seeks LPGA membership for 2026.
