West Florida moved back to the top of the October 10 poll with 14 first place votes and 551 points, regaining No. 1 after placing fourth at the Sandestin Collegiate Classic on September 24 as the only non DI team in the field.
The rest of the top five are North Georgia with two first place votes, Florida Southern with two, Lee with one, and Georgia Southwestern. Central Oklahoma with two, Grand Valley State, Lander with one, Wingate with one, and Columbus State complete the top ten. Thirty three additional programs received votes.
