Auburn remained first in the October 10 poll with five first place votes and 505 points, eight ahead of Virginia with four first place votes and 497 points. The top five are rounded out by Vanderbilt, Ole Miss with five first place votes, and Texas with one first place vote. Oklahoma State is sixth with five first place votes, followed by Arizona State with two first place votes, then Illinois, North Carolina, and LSU to complete the top ten.
